Do you get tired of filling out endless job applications? Ever wish you could just submit a snapshot of your LinkedIn Profile instead? Well, actually, you can!

LinkedIn developers have come up with an easy-to-use job application process that allows you to apply for a position with the click of a button. It’s called “Apply with LinkedIn”, and lots of companies are jumping on board to receive applications through it.

Here’s how it works:

1. Participating companies add an “Apply with LinkedIn” button to their job postings.

2. As an applicant, you simply click the button. From there, the program will pull your LinkedIn Profile. If you’re not sure your Profile is HR ready, don’t worry –  you can make last minute changes before submitting it for consideration. Below is a preview of what your Apply with LinkedIn-generated Profile will look like:

3. Once your Profile is perfect and ready to go, click “Submit Application” (located at the bottom of your Profile).

4. Next is the cool part – once your application is submitted, you’ll be taken to a confirmation page that shows all the people in your LinkedIn Network who work at the company you’ve just applied to. Basically, it’s a one-stop-shop for getting your foot in the door! From here, you can message people and request a referral to the hiring manager. What an easy way to get a warm introduction! You can also request to connect to people in your 2nd tier Connections that work in the company.
Apply with LinkedIn” is a perfect example of using your LinkedIn Profile and Network to its fullest potential. It’s also a reminder of how important it is to maintain a well-written, complete and effective LinkedIn Profile. For more information about “Apply with LinkedIn”, click here:
